Is This All I'm Good For?

In my first book, I Am Sparrow, Sparrow has been abused all of her young life. First one man, then the next, and on it went, adding up to a life colored by continuous trauma. Is this all I'm good for? she asks God. Why can't I live a normal life, like all my friends?

Time passes and the abuse continues, as do the questions she throws up to God. Why me? What did I do to deserve this treatment...was it my fault? Do you still love me, God?

The years pass. Sparrow may not have received many answers to her questions, but she one day realizes that the God who made her also loves her, no matter what has happened. This alone fortified her, equipping her to make the break and leave her current abuser.
